GALAXY MUSHROOM

For this project, we had to build a stool that can be sat upon and then upholster it to be a mushroom. Size, color and shape are all to the student’s choice but it must be at least 12” tall with a sitting area of at least 16”.

I decided to do a galaxy mushroom using a 18” disk. I filled it with fluff and covered it with muslim. I then covered it with my star fabric and hand sewed each of the white stars on it. I then attached trim and twinkly lights to the bottom of disk .

For my base I used sonitube to create a base. For the bottom, I the covered it in muslim and put fluff on the outside to help it have a more mushroom shape. I then covered it in fleece and glued it on.
